Dialects: Bounou, Kiembara (Northeastern Goe), Bangassogo, Gomboro. Intelligibility of Matya Samo [stj] varies between 28% and 50%, depending on the village and text tested; of Southern Samo [sbd] less than 10%.
Language Use: Vigorous. All domains. Used by all. Also use French [fra], in primary and secondary schools. Also use Jula [dyu], in the west. Also use Mòoré [mos], which is learned well by young people in the east.
