Sino-Tibetan, Tibeto-Burman, Ngwi-Burmese, Ngwi, Southeastern
None known. Called Southeast Vernacular, type of Yi. May be related to what is called Southeastern Yi or Guizhou Yi [yig] in China. Not intelligible with Sichuan Yi [iii] (Nosu).
Many uvular consonants, tense-lax voice quality; tonal, 5 tones.
Some of all ages.
