Immigration brings pressure from Tok Pisin [tpi], and both Kandas and Tok Pisin are used in home domains. Most domains. Tok Pisin [tpi] is used in many domains as well. Some young people, all adults. In Semalu village, children do not acquire Kandas as their first language, though some acquire it later. Most also use Tok Pisin [tpi]. Some also use Ramoaaina [rai]. A few also use Kuanua [ksd]. A few also use Siar-Lak [sjr]. Used as L2 by Label [lbb].
