- None known. Intelligibility testing (Hurlbut 2003) showed that Selangor signers understood Penang Sign Language [psg] well (90%), but Penang signers had more difficulty with SSL (77%).

- Home. Older adults only. Positive attitudes. Some shifted to Malaysian Sign Language [xml]. Many also use English [eng], in written form. Some also use Standard Malay [zsm], in written form. A few also use Penang Sign Language [psg]. Older deaf from Selangor studied at the school in Penang (Hurlbut 2003).

- Literacy rate in L2: 50% in English [eng].
- Other Comments
- Developed out of American Sign Language [ase]. Used not only in the capital city Kuala Lumpur, but also surrounding Selangor state, so deaf prefer the name Selangor Sign Language.
