None known. Said to be intelligible with Adang [adn], but Adang speakers live on Bird’s Head area of Alor, while Hamap speakers live geographically separated from Adang speakers, across the bay. Structural and lexical differences with Adang.
Verb final, contrast between close and open, e; vowel-initial and glottal-initial words.
Some young people, all adults.
Separate sociopolitical history from Adang. Christian.
